What happens in the Game Asylum Trailer?
The trailer shows up at your house or event ready to go. We are self powered and carry everything that we need to get things going. The Party Heroes will take over hosting and supervising your party or event within minutes of arrival.
What cities do you serve?
We are centred out of Guelph, Ontario and directly serve the communities of Guelph, Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Elmira, Rockwood and Fergus and immediate areas as part of our standard service area.
Game Asylum’s popularity has had us travel to Woodstock, Ajax, Hamilton, Burlington, Milton, Palmerston, Brampton, Milverton, Orangeville, Brantford. Travel charges apply for parties and events out of our standard service area; however, you’ll find that there is no substitute for our unique party experience! Call to discuss out of area events. 1-866-527-9586
What days do you book parties?
Game Asylum books birthday parties Thursday-Sunday availability permitting. However, spaces are limited to Sundays for out of town parties. Please contact our Party Planner at 1-866-527-9586 to discuss.
How many players can you accommodate?
We can accommodate up to 16 players at a time all playing at once. Our personal experience has proven that 12 is a great number to aim for, as it allows gaming freedom in the trailer for all players, and an overall better experience for the birthday boy or girl.
Do you back into our driveway?
Game Asylum drivers are experienced and capable drivers, but in order to ensure the safety of our trailer, truck, and your property, we do NOT back into or pull into residential driveways. We park curbside to your house when possible, and if we are not directly blocking your driveway we ensure that children are accompanied if having to cross any roadway. If for whatever reason curbside parking does not work for your property, please call us to work out the safest alternate parking location available in your area. 1-866-527-9586
How much parking space is required?
We need about 50 feet of space to accommodate both the truck and trailer. We can easily park curbside on the street in front of your house, or in a parking lot near by. In many cases, we will block your driveway and use the entire space curbside in front of your house. To ensure a smooth arrival and prompt start time, ensure no cars are parked in front of your house and the houses on either side of you. We do NOT pull into or back into residential driveways for the safety of our equipment and your property.
For corporate events, we tow the trailer practically anywhere that’s paved.
We cannot provide a refund if we are not able to park safely. However, we can find alternate location nearby. If in doubt, call our party planner to discuss. 1-866-527-9586
What do parents have to do during the party?
Parents can either join in on the fun take advantage of the peace and quiet while our Party Heroes host and supervise the excitement. Since we are on, or close to your property you can always pop your head in to see what’s going on. Kids will frequently run back to the house for something to eat or drink or to go to the bathroom but don’t expect them to stay long.
How far in advance should I book my party?
We recommend booking your party at least one month prior to the party date to ensure that the date you are interested in is available.
However, our schedule for March-July and September-November are always filled very quickly, and we recommend booking months in advance to ensure that you get your first choice for the date and time slot. Bookings are available up to a year in advance and there is no better time to book than right now to ensure you get the date and time you desire.
Is there an age limit?
To best insure the best possible experience for all guests, we host parties for children 5 turning 6 and up. We appeal to many ages, young and old, for many different kinds of events such as birthday parties, team parties, school events, corporate team building events and much more! The Party Heroes, lead the excitement. They are there to ensure that all the players have a great time regardless of their age and experience level. Players under the age of five need to be accompanied by an adult if visiting the Game Asylum trailer to ensure a fun and safe experience.
Do you need to plug in?
We are completely self powered. An RV generator powers the trailer so we can host the excitement without disrupting the neighbours. On the rare occasion that a technical failure might occur with our generators, all is not lost. We carry equipment to plug the trailer into any basic outlet. If this occurs, you will be reimbursed for the inconvenience and use of your electricity.
What if there is bad weather, or it’s too cold?
The Game Asylum trailers are self-powered and fully climate controlled. We are able to host parties throughout the year. However, if we experience severe weather like excessive cold, ice and snow storms, excessive winds or heavy lightning we respectfully reserve the right to reschedule your party in the interest of your guests, our staff and our equipment.
We will go to great lengths to ensure that your party goes off without a hitch. Unfortunately, mother nature occasionally leaves us no choice and limited notice. We promise to give you as much notice as possible to contact your guests and reschedule the event. Our Party Planner will go over this with you at the time of booking during winter months. Safety is paramount with Game Asylum. As a Rule of thumb, if you wouldn’t want yourself or one of your loved ones out in the weather, neither do we.
What is your refund and cancellation policy?
Cancellation notice must be provided to Game Asylum a minimum of 14 days prior to the party to receive a full refund. Cancellation requests provided within the 14 days immediately before the party will only be eligible for a 50% refund of the original reservation amount if another suitable date cannot be found.
Are food and drinks permitted in the trailer?
No food or drinks of any kind are allowed in the trailer. Liquids and electronics do not mix. As well, we serve hundreds of children with allergies and must keep the trailers a completely contaminate free and safe area for everyone.
Are the video games appropriate for my child?
All the games played at our parties are pre-approved by the parents. We’ve created a number of fun and crazy Party Themes that deliver an extraordinary and memorable event for any party rating.
Game Asylum uses the same video ratings as the video game industry. Click here for video game ratings.
